It’s hard to believe in ghosts, until you see one, and then it’s hard not to.” –Victoria Schwab, Tunnel of Bones

Tunnel of Bones is the 2nd book in Victoria Schwab’s Cassidy Blake series. I was so excited to get my hands on this book and ended up reading it in a day! I can’t wait to see how this story continues, but I’ll have to wait until next August which really just sends me into a ~depression~

If only I had access to these books when I was in middle school, or I guess I should say, if only Victoria created this series 10 years ago, they would have been even more special to me then! I’m such a big fan of Victoria’s writing and I absolutely love this story and the characters! I can really see this series being a long one, it has the potential to have a part 4, 5, 6, etc.

Cassidy Blake is a normal girl, who happens to have a life that revolves around ghosts. Her parents are fascinated with ghosts, Cassidy can see ghosts, she even has a best friend who is a ghost! But when she takes a trip with her parents over the summer, her life starts to drastically change.

I won’t say too much more about this story for those of you who haven’t read the first book, but basically if you love ghosts, haunted cities, and brave young women who happen to be able to see ghosts, then you should pick up the first book in this series, City of Ghosts! I don’t think I could even pick between the two of them, they are both so, so good. I think Tunnel of Bones might be my favorite so far, only because everything is established and it’s easy to jump right back into the story.

This series is spooky and fun and perfect for the Fall season! If you want to read this series then spooky season is the perfect time to do it.
